Adult Assessments
Dr. McKelvey currently offers assessments for adults presenting with the following questions:
- Adult ADHD: Have you ever wondered if your difficulties in school and work stem from attention deficit hyperactive disorder? Have you been told you have difficulty focusing your attention on challenging tasks, or you act impulsively? You may potentially have ADHD. During this assessment, questions will primarily focus on ADHD; however, other symptoms may be explored to effectively rule out other causes of attention and impulsivity issues. Cost: $1,500 including evaluation, report writing/scoring time, and feedback session.
- Adult Autism: Have you thought to yourself that your life experiences may be explained by autism? Do you feel you may have been “missed” as a child? This assessment provides a neurodiverse affirming approach to autism, while considering both the consequences of undetected Autism as well as other potential explanations for presenting symptoms. Cost: $1,500 including evaluation, report writing/scoring time, and feedback session.
- Combination ADHD/Autism Evaluation: Clients can choose to have assessment for both Adult ADHD and Adult Autism during the same evaluation. Cost: $1,750 including evaluation, report writing/scoring time, and feedback session.
- Bariatric Surgery Evaluations: Are you pursuing Bariatric Surgery? Dr. McKelvey has experience in conducting pre-surgical mental health evaluations that meet the requirement for most insurance companies to cover surgery. This evaluation will cover all areas required by insurance companies to determine eligibility for bariatric surgery. Please note that an evaluation does not guarantee clearance for surgery. Cost: starting at $1,500 including evaluation, report writing/scoring time. Feedback is typically provided during the initial evaluation.
- Psychodiagnostic Evaluation/Reevaluation: Have you every wondered whether or not your diagnosis has been missed by professionals, or iff something else is accounting for your symptoms? Have you been labeled with stigmatizing diagnoses such as borderline personality disorder, or bipolar disorder, and do not feel these symptoms or treatments have worked for you? Do you have a never-ending list of diagnoses from different mental health professionals? I am currently offering evaluations to help individuals, especially women and people of color, determine if a neurodevelopmental disorder or other acquired disorder better explains your experiences. This evaluation involves a detailed interview, and standardized assessments to address your specific symptoms and determine a fitting diagnosis and course of action. Starting at $1500, Good faith estimate provided at consultation.

Child Assessments
- Child Autism Assessments: Dr. McKelvey now provides autism assessments for children and adolescents starting at age 18 months. Current assessments are virtual, however opportunities may be available in the future for in person assessments. These assessments involve caregiver interviews, rating scales, and a play based and/or interview based autism assessment. Depending on your child’s age and current situation, additional assessments may also be integrated to help create tailored recommendations for you and your child. I approach autism from a strengths based model, highlighting the strengths of your child and your family, and highlighting the areas of growth that you and your child identify as goals. School Entrance Exams:
Dr. McKelvey currently offers school entrance exams for elementary age children age 6+ in the Philadelphia area. These assessments are conducted in person, and include a report. $600.
